Another collab with my good friend and colleague, $
zilla774It's always a pleasure to collab with Ian, as I learn from him everytime. This was very much a collab from start to finish, with the two of us taking a discussion about finding time to be creative, to looking at stock together to naming it etc.
I think it's a perfect combination of our skills and contains elements of symbolism that you can often find in both our artwork. Stars, swooshes, swirlies, vectors, industrial elements, light and darkness.
I also kinda like the fact that it's a wallpaper, because that's where we both started on dA

Thanks Ian!

I love the central colors in the piece. The explosion of tone out of the speaker helps pull the viewers eye into the piece and attempts to keep it there. The main issue I have with this is that while it's trying to keep my eye focused inevitably my eye just keeps wandering around seeing all the other 'stuffs' within the border. Again, this is a personal choice and a style difference. I like art to be a bit stark and focused on a singularity.
I can't help but wonder if the background in the bottom half of the frame was darker would it allow the viewer to keep focus within the center explosion of color? Probably, but I'm not sure of the impact to the overall piece at that point. It would have to be one of those "see it to feel it" things.
The great thing about this piece is that you can see each individual in it and they go well together. I've seen a lot of collaborations by artists who's styles just don't mesh well. You two certainly do.
Well, those are my thoughts. Probably not much help but I just felt like typing a bit in the early AM.
