Announcing the deviantART Creative GrantsAnnouncing the deviantART Creative Grants
At deviantART, we have spent the past 11 years building a place where artists can share and discuss their work and get inspired by the work of their contemporaries. A noble cause, for certain, but we would like to be so much more to our beloved community of brilliant creatives. Starting today, deviantART will also be a means of inspiration in an entirely new way with financial support for art.
On 3 month cycles, deviantART will accept applications from artists seeking to fund art-related projects. A panel called the Creative Grants Board will pick those projects that they believe will benefit particularly from a Grant and give those artists the support they need to make it happen. The lucky few who are chosen to receive Grants will also be given a beautiful accolade on their deviantART Profile Page to celebrate their succes
Seniority Announcement - December 2011This article marks the latest announcements detailing the latest additions to the dizzy height of Senior members in our community. With just over 800 deviants holding the highly saught after ` -- it's clearly a moment that deserves recognition.

So what does it take to become a Senior? That's a question many have asked and have never really been able to get a straight answer on. Some have gained Seniority as a thank you for their time spent as a Volunteer, or to recognise their contribution to a particular project or collaborative action. Some have gained Seniority because of their community spirit, providing help and assistance to many other deviants and taking time out to promote the work of others in the community. 
Some people have received Seniority because of their artistic endevours, having a positive influence on their peers by sharing resources, providing constructive criticism and by being a voice that stands out above the many others who deviate to be recognised

The Bolt Award is an accolade that recognizes an individual's significant contributions to deviantART. The Award celebrates such contributions and brings to light the exemplary work performed by its recipient.

In 2007, the first recipient was none other than the award's namesake, Chris Bolt ($chris),  and in 2008 we saw Heidi Chambers ($Heidi)  presented with the well deserved honor.

In 2009, the Bolt Award went to the pixel perfect Stanley Sy  ($starvingartist) who then passed this on to Simon Murray ($pachunka) during our 10th Birthday Celebrations in 2010.

The Deviousness Award is an accolade which is traditionally handed out on the 1st of every month to one trully outstanding deviant. This month, we are delighed to award it to `wroth.



`wroth is a long standing deviant dedicated to our community in many ways. From working endlessly leading #resurgere, one of the most successful and popular resource groups, making endless CSS for community groups such as `ArtistsForCharity,#dA-ArtJam and #deviantARTtimes, Shawn is always willing to help in the community, in any way that he can.




With a never ending love of art and dedication to his craft, he is talented in many genres which is evidenced in his eclectic gallery.

  




From all the artists he features weekly to the thousands he has helped provide stock art and inspiration to over the years,  we proudly present `wroth with the Deviousness Award for March 2009.
