World AIDS Day is an important reminder to us all that HIV has not gone away, and that there are still many things to be done. According to UNAIDS estimates, there are now 33.3 million people living with HIV, including 2.5 million children. During 2009 some 2.6 million people became newly infected with the virus and an estimated 1.8 million people died from AIDS.1
The World AIDS Day theme for 2010 is Universal Access and Human Rights. DeviantART supports World AIDS Day by providing an opportunity for everyone to take action and ensure that human rights are protected and that global targets for HIV & AIDS prevention, treatment, and care are met.

The Charity
The vast majority of people with HIV and AIDS live in lower — and middle — income countries. But HIV today is a threat to men, women and children on all continents around the world.
In recognition of Worlds AIDS Day 2010, deviantART is proud to partner with Globalgiving.com. We will donate $1 from each deviantWEAR and Print sale made on December 1st, 2010 to the Rozaria Memorial Trust ART Literacy & Care For HIV Positive Children Project.
The project aims to increase life opportunities and healthy living for 200 HIV positive children through information on treatment and compliance with Anti-Retroviral Therapy, in Murewa, Zimbabwe.
